Our Background
Founded in Milton, Ontario, Canada, Bedrock Scientific is built on more than 30 years of analytical chemistry and LC-MS experience. We help laboratories across Canada access cost-effective laboratory equipment and replacement parts. Rather than simply reselling equipment, we apply our technical knowledge to evaluate options, identify practical solutions, and source hardware laboratories can trust.

Meet The Team
J. Larry Campbell, PhD
Larry Campbell, Ph.D. (Purdue University), founded Bedrock Scientific to bring deep analytical chemistry expertise and a practical laboratory perspective to scientific equipment sourcing and analytical chemistry consulting. With extensive experience in analytical instrumentation, research and development, and technology innovation, Dr. Campbell has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and holds over 20 U.S. patents.
Prior to establishing Bedrock Scientific, Dr. Campbell spent more than 11 years as a Senior R&D Scientist at SCIEX, where he contributed to the development of analytical instrumentation and technologies used in laboratories worldwide. This experience provides him with a unique understanding of how analytical instrumentation is designed, operated, maintained, and optimized throughout their lifecycle.
At Bedrock Scientific, Dr. Campbell applies this background to help bridge the gap between equipment reselling and real-world laboratory needs. Drawing on decades of instrument development experience, he approaches each project from a scientific perspective—helping organizations identify practical, technically appropriate equipment and support solutions that align with their requirements.
Carmai Seto, MSc
Carmai Seto brings more than 20 years of experience working with analytical instrumentation, laboratory workflows, and scientific customers. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with scientific customers across a wide range of industries, developing a strong understanding of laboratory operations, analytical workflows, and the challenges laboratories face.
Prior to joining Bedrock Scientific, Carmai spent nearly two decades at SCIEX, supporting LC-MS applications across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical research, environmental testing, and industrial laboratories. Her background spans scientific applications, customer support, product development, and market research, providing valuable insight into the evolving needs of laboratories and the scientists who rely on them.
At Bedrock Scientific, Carmai supports the company’s marketing and communications initiatives, helping strengthen the Bedrock Scientific brand and communicate its laboratory equipment sourcing and analytical chemistry consulting services. She develops customer-focused marketing and communications that reflect the company’s scientific expertise, practical approach, and commitment to serving laboratories across Canada.
